Meet Your Host

Jordan Daugherty

Pro-Life Advocate | Birth Mom| Host of The Journey After Podcast

At 21, I found myself unexpectedly pregnant, alone, broken, and caught in a lifestyle that didn’t

reflect the woman God created me to be. I was living in darkness: partying, drinking,

relationships built on sin, and searching for worth in all the wrong places. I had compromised my

body, my heart, and my values. But in the midst of that chaos, God met me. Not with shame, but

with mercy.

When I found out I was pregnant, it was a wake-up call but more than that, it was the beginning

of my rescue story. I was terrified and unsure, but in my desperation I cried out to Jesus. And He

answered. He began stripping away everything not from Him—unhealthy relationships,

environments, addictions, and false identities. I rededicated my life to Christ and walked through

the hardest season of my life, pregnancy, holding tightly to the promise that He could make all

things new.

God placed it on my heart to choose adoption. It wasn’t because I didn’t love my child, but

because I loved deeply enough to want more than I could provide at the time, especially without

reopening doors to people and patterns God had freed me from. Placing my child with a family I

trust was the most heartbreaking yet holy decision I’ve ever made. Through it, I experienced

what true surrender looks like.

But my story didn’t end there. God lit a fire in me to speak, to advocate, to walk with other

women. I now host The Journey After, a podcast where I share stories of faith, identity, healing, and the beauty in choosing life. It's not about where I've been but where I am heading now.

God has placed a deep passion on my heart to speak into the lives of women and girls

struggling with purity, identity, and value. I am living proof that no matter how far you’ve gone or

how much you’ve compromised, God can redeem your purity. I share openly about my past

because it would be selfish to keep a testimony like this to myself. If He can rewrite my story, He

can redeem yours too.

Today, I advocate for the unborn and for the women carrying them, especially those who feel

scared, ashamed, or abortion-minded. I support pregnancy resource centers, mentor other birth

moms, and speak truth in love wherever God opens a door. Every time I share, I pray that one

more woman feels seen, empowered, and reminded that hope is real, healing is possible, and

Jesus saves.

My life verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I’ve lived it. And now, I live to share it.
